We Won CABHI's People Choice Award!
We’re honoured to have won CABHI’s People Choice Award at their global summit!
This year’s theme was “Daring to Disrupt: Reimagining the Aging Experience.” On that note, we happily virtually exhibited our booth featuring our brand new LUC-101 demo video as we continue developing a digital therapeutic targeting the neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia.
Watch our video:
We were also able to host a Music as Medicine Q&A, where we were thrilled to answer attendee questions about how LUCID is transforming music into medicine, and hear about other ways that individuals have benefited from therapeutic music.
Sponsored by AGE-WELL, the MC2 Capital Pitch Competition People’s Choice Award involved 15 companies that are innovating the aging experience. We were honoured to be featured alongside the amazing lineup of companies working in the agetech sector. Some of our highlights:
QuantaXI has created Delphi MD, the first clinically available and effective tool for the detection of irreversible brain disorders. It probes specific brain networks, using focused magnetic simulation technology to detect brain health, especially in finding brain abnormalities that may lead to strokes or dementia.
Social Robots have developed Mindy, a robot that can have simple conversations, play games, music, and more to confront loneliness and isolation among older adults. In retirement and nursing homes, Mindy can provide engaging group events that encourage music and movement to support individuals and their caregivers.
Alinker Inventions has developed a walking bike for those who are living with challenges that affect their mobility. These bikes are non-motorized and do not have pedals. Instead, with an adjustable seat and handlebars, it is designed to overcome the divide between people with and without disabilities, or mobility challenges by allowing users to quickly travel far distances.
Zinnia TV has created a library of slow-paced and undemanding videos for those living with dementia, who may struggle with processing rapid images, following a plot or telling fact from fiction when watching regular television. They prioritize engagement and fostering connection through their service.
ImagineAble Solutions developed Guided Hands, a mechanical assistive device that enables anyone with limited fine motor skills to write, paint, draw and access technology. Guided Hands assists individuals with limited hand dexterity, weakness in the hand and arm, or difficulty grasping objects as a result of a medical condition or injury such as Cerebral Palsy, arthritis, and strokes among others.
And many more! Thank you to everyone who voted for LUCID, and believe in our mission of transforming music into medicine. We are so blessed to have such a strong community of believers who have been able to experience the transformative and therapeutic effects of music.
Overall, this year’s summit was another successful event in the books for CABHI! As we continue to reimagine the aging experience, we are grateful for the opportunity to take part in industry events that serve as a nice reminder of why we do what we do.
